MASS TRANSIT DIRECTIONS

BY SUBWAY (IRT):

Take the IRT #7 Flushing subway from either Times Square or Grand Central to the Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is about a three-minute walk down the ramp from the station.

BY SUBWAY (IND):

Take the “E” or “F” trains to Roosevelt Avenue and transfer upstairs to the IRT #7 train (Flushing bound) subway to the Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is about a three-minute walk down the ramp from the station.

BY RAILROAD:

The Long Island Railroad Port Washington branch departs from Penn Station to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (Shea Stadium / Willets Point Station). Contact the railroad for schedule information at 718-217-5477.

GENERAL PUBLIC DIRECTIONS

FROM MANHATTAN:

Take the Triboro Bridge to the Grand Central Parkway East. Exit the Grand Central Parkway East at Exit 9E – I-678/RT-25A East/Northern Boulevard East. Stay to the left and follow to the Van Wyck Expressway South. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A – College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM BROOKLYN (OPTION #1):

Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278) East to the Grand Central Parkway East. Exit the Grand Central Parkway East at Exit 9E – I-678/ RT -25A East/Northern Boulevard East. Stay to the left and follow to the Van Wyck Expressway South. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A – College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM BROOKLYN (OPTION #2):

Take the Jackie Robinson Parkway to the Van Wyck Expressway North. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway at Exit 12A. Continue straight on to College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM LONG ISLAND:

Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West to Exit 22B - College Point Blvd. At first light, make a right on College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM CONNECTICUT/WESTCHESTER (OPTION #1):

Take I-95 to the Whitestone Bridge to the Whitestone Expressway South. Stay to the left and take the Van Wyck Expressway. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A – College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM CONNECTICUT/WESTCHESTER (OPTION #2):

Take I-95 to the Throgs Neck Bridge to I-295/Clearview Expressway South. Exit I-295/Clearview Expressway South at Exit 4 – Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West. Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West to Exit 22B - College Point Blvd. At the first light, make a right on College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY (OPTION #1):

Take the George Washington Bridge to the Harlem River Drive, then to the Triboro Bridge. Follow “FROM MANHATTAN” directions above.

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY (OPTION #2):

Take the George Washington Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway, then to the Whitestone Bridge. Take the Whitestone Expressway South. Stay to the left and take the Van Wyck Expressway. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A – College Point Blvd. Follow signs to US Open Public Parking.

FROM SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY:

Take the Verrazzano Bridge to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I-278) East to the Grand Central Parkway East. Follow “FROM BROOKLYN (OPTION #1)” directions above.

Security Procedures at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center

Safety is one of our highest priorities at the US Open, and we will continue to take every reasonable step to ensure the safety of everyone entering the USTA National Tennis Center gates. We will once again be implementing several important security measures in conjunction with Local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies:

1. We encourage you to arrive early to avoid delays and help to speed the entry of all spectators.

2. All fans will go through a screening process before passing through the USTA National Tennis Center entry gates.

3. There will be a limit of one bag per person admitted onto the grounds.

4. All bags are subject to search, must be a single compartment and cannot be larger than 12”Wx12”Hx16”L.

5. There will be no bag storage on the grounds. For a nominal charge, there is a bag storage facility outside the grounds.

6. Speed lines for those fans without bags will be available at all gates.

7. The following items are prohibited and MAY NOT be brought onto the premises:

* sealed packages of any kind;
* briefcases;
* ALL knapsacks/ALL backpacks ;
* hard coolers or like containers;
* glass bottles or cans;
* aerosol cans or noisemaking devices;
* alcoholic beverages;
* commercial video cameras or recording devices;
* computers or laptops;
* food (except in limited quantities, or for medical, dietary or infant purposes);
* weapons (regardless of permit);
* pets (unless a service animal);
* flags, banners or signs;
* laser pointing devices;
* tennis racquets;
* bicycles; scooters of any type; in-line skates; roller skates; skateboards;
* and any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the USTA and/or US Open personnel, in its sole discretion.
